President Murmu's 'One Nation, One Election' Plan: India is starting its journey in a new direction
New Delhi - On 26 January, President Droupadi Murmu wholeheartedly supported 'One Nation, One Election' and appealed to everyone to join it. She said that this will help in improving the government and will save all the rules from breaking, as well as reduce financial problems.
President Murmu said, "This is a way which will bring consistency in governance, will help in proper use of resources and will reduce the financial burden of the people." If all elections are held together, it will help in improving the flow of governance.
Efforts to change colonial mindset
President Murmu ji also discussed the efforts to bring new Indian laws by abolishing colonial laws. He praised the introduction of laws like Bharatiya Nyaya Sambhidhan, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha and Bharatiya Saksya Adhiniyam. These new laws will be based on Indian traditions.
He said, “A big vision is needed for such reforms,” and praised the efforts of the government.
Focus on culture and heritage of India

President Murmu, while talking about events like Maha Kumbh Mela, said that this is a way of increasing our culture. He praised the government for promoting regional languages like Assamese, Bengali, Marathi and Sanskrit.
Talking about economic development, Murmu ji said that India has made a strong position for itself in the economic trends of the world. Overcoming the difficulties that came after independence, today India is in a global leadership role.
Inclusivity and Welfare should be given priority
The President also emphasized on welfare measures like clean drinking water and affordable housing.
